In the comparison of the military capabilities of Serbia and Kosovo, the YouTube channel "World Military Power" (WMP) highlights the complete dominance of Serbia in all military aspects, which is most obvious in the air space, but also when it comes to heavy artillery.

This channel relied on data from the prestigious military portal "Globalfirepower", which provides precise data for 145 countries and their military capacities every year.

Based on the data of this web site, this year, Serbia is in 56th place, while Kosovo is at the back, i.e. in 135th place.

Comparing military power, it is stated that Serbia has 7.9 million inhabitants with a military budget of 399 million dollars, while Kosovo with 1.7 million inhabitants has a military budget of 1.5 million dollars.

In most comparative categories, Serbia surpasses the strength of Kosovo, starting with the fact that it has 627,000 conscripts, unlike Kosovo with only 15,500.

According to these data, the Serbian Army has 25,000 active members, while the KSF forces are estimated at 10,000 members.

According to these data, Kosovo leads the way with 5,000 members in the reserve, compared to 2,000 that Serbia has.

At the same time, there are 13,200 military personnel in the Serbian Army, while that number is 7,500 in the KSF.

Serbia's dominance is reflected in almost all comparisons when it comes to heavy weapons.

Unlike Kosovo, which does not have a single one, the Serbian Army has 262 tanks in its operational composition.

There are a total of 3,954 armored vehicles in the Armed Forces, while the KSF has 922. The difference is even greater when it comes to infantry fighting vehicles, of which there are 346 in the Serbian Army, and only 20 in the KSF.

The Serbian Army has 40 (and another 80 ordered) armored personnel carriers, while the KBS has 55 such vehicles.

The ratio is relatively similar only when it comes to special, anti-mine armored vehicles, because VS has 53 of them, that is, only 17 more than KSF

When it comes to self-propelled artillery and artillery tools, the Serbian Army has total supremacy because, unlike Kosovo, which has none, it currently has 90 and another 26 self-propelled artillery pieces, as well as 168 pieces of various other artillery tools.

The Serbian Army has 88 multiple rocket launchers, while the KSF has none.

Serbia has complete dominance when it comes to the Air Force.

Serbia has 26, and Kosovo has six military airports.

The Serbian Army, with 123 combat aircraft, is also in the lead because the Serbian Air Force has none.

It is stated that Serbia has 11 fighter-bombers, as well as 11 multipurpose combat aircraft, as well as 17 fighter jets and 38 aircraft intended for training military pilots.

It is stated that unlike Kosovo, Serbia also has two military transport planes.

Similar dominance in the airspace is on Serbia's side when it comes to the number of helicopters because, unlike any KSF, Serbia has 55 aircraft and nine more that it has ordered.

Of this number, 15 helicopters are attack type, that is, intended for combat operations.

It should be noted that neither Kosovo nor Serbia have a single combat aircraft for special purposes, bombers, "air tankers", aircraft for electronic jamming or surveillance aircraft (Avax).

When it comes to drones for Kosovo, there is no information that it has them in its forces, while Serbia has 19 and has ordered 12 more.

Serbia also has a military terminal.

According to data from the Global firepower portal, Serbia is in 56th place in 2024.

Among the countries in the region ahead of her are only NATO members Hungary (54), Romania (47), Greece (31) and Turkey, which is in eighth place.

The USA leads the ranking of the world's military powers, followed by Russia, China, India and South Korea in the top five.
