Today, more than 5,000 Serbs from the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District gathered in the central square in Gornji Kusac, from which messages of solidarity were sent to compatriots in the north of Kosovo, and Pristina institutions were asked to respect the agreed agreements and establish the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities, RTV Puls reports.

As stated in the joint statement of the four mayors of municipalities with a Serbian majority in Partes, Klokot, Ranilug and Novo Brdo, the relations between the Serbian and Albanian communities in the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District are good, but the central institutions in Pristina are putting pressure on the institutions of the Serbian community and citizens, as well as on their rights.

"Due to increasingly frequent unfounded pressures by central institutions in Pristina, aimed at citizens and institutions in municipalities with a Serbian majority in the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District, as well as towards citizens of the Serbian community in other municipalities, forcing members of the KSF from the Serbian community to accept employment in the north of Kosovo, the abolition of social benefits for the citizens of the Serbian community by the central institutions in Pristina, increased control and punishment of citizens of the Serbian community, especially those who drive vehicles with RS license plates by the KSF police, the constant rigging of the process by the special prosecutor's office in Pristina aimed at the mayors of municipalities with Serbian for the most part, we ask the institutions in Pristina and Mr. Kurti to stop the constant pressure and disruption of the good relations between the two majority communities in the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District", the announcement states, and they call on the institutions in Pristina to stop violating the rights of the Serbian community, as well as to as soon as possible start with and the formation of the CSM in accordance with the Brussels Agreement.

The president of the municipality of Novo Brdo, Sasa Milosevic, said that the people of the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District unitedly support their compatriots in the north of Kosovo.

"Your democratic struggle is also our struggle, your suffering is also our suffering", Milosevic said.

A message was sent to the central institutions to stop terrorizing the Serbian people in Kosovo, and Albin Kuriti was asked to start as soon as possible with the respect of the agreed agreements and the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.

In the following period, all activities directed against citizens and institutions in municipalities with a Serbian majority in Kosovo Pomoravlje will be monitored.

"We, the mayors and representatives of the Serbian community in the municipal assemblies, will make appropriate decisions on further activities and participation in Kosovo institutions," added the joint statement of the municipal presidents.

At the support gathering in Gornji Kusac, which was attended by more than five thousand Serbs from the Kosovo-Pomoravlje District, the problems that the Serbian community has in the field of health care, education and culture, and especially the position and daily difficulties of young people, were pointed out.
