Shasha: What is the purpose of Kurti's action in the north?

The director of the "EPIK" Institute, Demush Shasha, asked what the purpose of yesterday's action in the north of Kosovo was, with the assessment that what was being seen is "Kosovo's cry" for attention in solving the problems of the north, but that it was not a strategy.

Shasha wrote on Facebook that it was not a problem that Kurti had made a dangerous decision yesterday, because being a prime minister meant making dangerous decisions, "especially in relation to Serbia", but the problem was that it was very difficult to understand his vision.

"What is the bigger picture? What do you want to achieve? For example, when Thaci made the dangerous decision to take control of items 1 and 31, Kosovo established control at all its crossings," Shasha said.

That's why, he says, the question arises - if a risk is taken, what is the goal?

He also pointed out that the new mayors could hardly manage citizens who did not want to see them in those offices and that neither the police nor the force could change that fact.

"However, the problem in the north is not entering or not entering the mayor's office. There is a deeper reason. The dialogue has long been deadlocked due to the lack of international interest and seriousness in the region. What we see in the north is Kosovo's cry for attention in solving the problems of the north. The only problem is that crying is not a strategy," Shasha said.
