Simic: The arrest of Serbs based on some secret lists of Pristina is a shame of the international community
The vice-president of the Serb List, Igor Simic, announced that the Prosecution did not present any evidence in the proceedings against Dejan Pantic, that the Kosovo police are holding him in an unknown location like a kidnapper, and that the Kosovo court ordered a one-month detention based on the principle of "the judge sues you, the judge judges you".
In a statement on Facebook, Simic pointed out that all seemed unrealistic in the 21st century on the European soil, but that it was everyday in Kosovo, as well as the fact that Pantic had not had contact with his family and lawyer since the moment he was abducted by the Kosovo police, nor was he able to inform them where he was and what his health condition was, bearing in mind that he was a serious heart patient.
"In such circumstances, it is more than obvious that this is not a legal process, but classic institutional violence with the aim of undisguised persecution of the Serbian people in these areas. The Adzic and Pantic families are going through agony for days because their members are guilty because they are Serbs, and because the gentlemen international representatives do not worry about the sufferings of our people," Simic said.
Simic repeated that the arrest of Serbs based on "some secret lists of Pristina is a shame on the face of the international community", which did not condemn such pressure on Serbs with a single gesture or statement.
"Dear gentlemen, Dejan Pantic is innocent, as is Miljan Adzic and all the others who were put on the arrest list by Pristina, and we demand that you stop this kind of persecution as soon as possible, which destabilizes the situation on the ground," Simic said.
