Simic: The Serb List's position has always been for the law and the rule of law to be respected

Serb List MP Igor Simic said that representatives of the party came to the Kosovo Assembly on Friday evening to demand respect for rights and the law, stressing that legal acts should apply equally to everyone.

Simic told reporters last night that the Serb List's position has always been to respect the rights of the Serbian people, as well as everyone else, and that it supports the rule of law.

“The position of the Serb List has always been, when it comes to the rights of the Serbian people as well as everyone else, that the law and the rule of law must be respected. That's all,” Simic said.

Asked why they had come to parliament, he replied that they had come because they were fighting for respect for the law.

“Because we are fighting for respect for the law. Tonight we are here to defend the law and the laws. That is all. We will see. Thank you very much,” Simic said.

Asked whether they would also attend the continuation of the session, Simic repeated:

“Respect for the legal acts that are in force and apply to everyone equally, regardless of whether they are in government, in opposition or whatever. Thank you very much.”
