Spahiu: Constitutional Court decision will depend on PDK's interests

Political analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu believes that the Constitutional Court's decision on the constitution of the Assembly and the formation of the Kosovo government will depend on the interests of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.

Spahiu told Kosovo Online that the Constitutional Court does not have the professional or moral integrity that such a court should have.

“It will largely depend on what is in the interest of the PDK, because the majority of Constitutional Court members are under the control of that party. So, if the PDK calls for new elections, this composition of parliament will probably be annulled and there will be new elections, while if that does not suit them, a solution will be found to allow the process to continue,” Spahiu said.

He believes that all parties will respect the Constitutional Court's decision, whatever it may be.

“I think the Constitutional Court's decision will be respected, whatever it may be, just as it has been respected so far. But I do not know what the decision will be. It will depend on what the PDK's interest is in this whole case,” Spahiu said.
