Stano: Belgrade and Pristina have not done enough to implement their commitments

The EU spokesperson Peter Stano emphasized that not enough had been done within the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue regarding the implementation of the agreed commitments, adding that the EU's priority was for both sides to start implementing the agreements in good faith.

Stano emphasized that the EU never pre-set the agenda for upcoming meetings within the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, whether they were held at the middle or high level.

"What I can say, unfortunately, is that not enough has been done in implementing the agreed-upon agreements between Belgrade and Pristina. The EU's main priority is for the parties to start implementing the obligations they have undertaken, and to do so in good faith," Stano stated.

He emphasized that it was crucial for the parties to focus and start implementing as soon as possible, something, he said, the EU had reiterated multiple times.

He notes that the dialogue process involves individual steps and procedures, and they cannot comment on them individually every day in public.

Stano also states that it is not up to the EU to comment on every individual meeting that people in the Serbian administration have with various individuals.

Regarding the events in Banjska on September 24th, Stano says that the EU's position is clear.

"We are waiting for the final official investigation report, and then we will see definitively whose responsibility it is. So far, we have not seen such a report here in Brussels," he stated.
