The State Secretary in the Ministry of Defense of Serbia, Nemanja Starovic, said on the occasion of the decision that all schools in the north of Kosovo would stop working from the following day, that normal life was impossible under military occupation.

"From tomorrow, all schools in the north of Kosovo will suspend work, until the thugs belonging to the Albanian Special Police Forces are withdrawn from that region. The children’s safety is imperative. Normal life is impossible under military-style occupation," Starovic wrote on Twitter.

The head of the School Administration for Kosovo and Metohija, Ivan Zaporozac, previously announced that classes in schools in the north were being interrupted due to the presence of the Kosovo police in full military gear in the north, which was why teachers and students were unable to conduct classes safely and undisturbed.
