Starovic: The world remains silent while Serbs are deprived of essential services in their own enclaves
Serbian Minister for European Integration Nemanja Starovic has stated that the closure of the clinic in Kamenica represents the latest chapter in what he described as the campaign of Kosovo's caretaker Prime Minister Albin Kurti against the Serbian community, stressing that the world remains silent while Serbs are being denied essential services in their own enclaves.
In a post on the social media platform X, Starovic wrote that the authorities in Kosovo had shut down another clinic operating within Serbia’s healthcare system and that Albanian inspectors had ordered the staff to leave the premises, citing “property issues.”
“This is the latest chapter in caretaker Prime Minister Kurti’s campaign of fire and fury against the Serbian community, systematically depriving them of fundamental human rights, including access to healthcare and education. Serbs are being denied essential services in their own enclaves while the world remains silent,” Starovic emphasized.
The clinic in Kamenica, which operates within the system of the Republic of Serbia, was temporarily closed on Monday.
According to local residents who spoke to Kosovo Online, two Albanian inspectors in plain clothes entered the clinic at around 3 p.m. on Monday and ordered the employees to vacate the building.
Serbs from Kamenica point out that the clinic played an important role, particularly for elderly residents, as it provided them with primary medical care.
