Stojkovic: Gathering in North Mitrovica an opportunity to highlight Pristina's arrogant behavior

The President of the Pensioners' Association, who announced a large public gathering tomorrow in North Mitrovica, Vesko Stojkovic, said it was an opportunity to highlight the arrogant behavior of the authorities in Pristina.

"We need to send a message to the world that there is no survival and staying of the Serbs in Kosovo if this is carried out to the end. Survival is tied to some political option, but staying is precisely linked to incomes, the economy, and basic living conditions to remain," Stojkovic said for Dnevnik RTS.

He added that Pristina's decision to ban the dinar affected pensioners the most.

"The decision of the CBK to ban the dinar affects the most those pensioners who receive their pensions in hand from the postman, these are mostly elderly people who are not able to go and collect their earnings themselves. Imagine that such an old or sick person has to go to Kursumlija to collect their pension," Stojkovic said.

The Serbs from Kosovo announced a large protest rally in North Mitrovica tomorrow to draw attention to the difficult situation.
