Toporovsky: Israel appreciates the swift and brave response of Serbian Security Forces

Boaz Toporovsky, a member of the Israeli parliament and head of the parliamentary friendship group with Serbia, stated that Israel appreciates the swift and brave response of the Serbian security forces, emphasizing that the terrorist attack in Belgrade was not only against Israel and Serbia but against the entire free world.

"Israel and Serbia have excellent security relations. We appreciate the excellent, swift, and brave response of the Serbian forces. We also highly value gendarme Milos Jevremovic, who heroically, despite being shot with an arrow, did not fall but instead killed the terrorist and stopped this terrorist attack. I believe many people around the world can learn from the Serbian security forces," Toporovsky said to Kosovo Online.

He emphasized that Israel and Serbia should strengthen and enhance their alliance.

"Serbia is one of our best friends, and we promise to be good friends to our allies," Toporovsky conveyed.

The Knesset member added that the people of Israel appreciate the bravery shown by gendarme Milos Jevremovic and send him warm greetings and sincere wishes for a speedy recovery to him and his family.

He believes that the terrorist attack in Belgrade was not only against Israel and Serbia but against the entire free world.

"This was not just a terrorist act against Israelis or Jews. It was an act against Serbia and the Serbian people. As Minister Dacic said, it was an act against Serbia. I want to emphasize that this act was also aimed against the free world. It was a Muslim fanatic, part of a fanatical mindset that believes people should either live their way or not live at all. Therefore, this is a fight for all of us in the free world against such fanaticism," said Toporovsky.

He emphasized that Israel appreciates the way Serbia handles terrorism and has its full support in this regard.

"I think we should deepen our alliance because we truly value the way Serbia deals with terrorism. I believe the Serbian people understand how difficult it is to live among those who do not accept your way of life and want to impose their way of life on you. Therefore, it is the duty of the entire free world, the Western world, and all people who believe in the principle of 'live and let live' to fight because freedom is never free. You always have to fight for your freedom," concluded Toporovsky.
