Vucevic: I am appalled by the brutal violence and wounding of a Serbian boy and a young man
The Defense Minister of Serbia, Milos Vucevic, announced that he was appalled by today's brutal violence and the wounding of a Serbian boy and a young man.
In a post on Instagram, Vucevic asked who was bothered by the Serbian Christmas tree and the Serbian tricolor flag.
"I am appalled by today's brutal violence and the wounding of two Serbs - a young man and an eleven-year-old boy in Gotovuca near Strpac, who had been shot by an Albanian while they were carrying a Serbian Christmas tree and the Serbian flag. What else but hatred could make someone shoot on this holy day at children who are just showing how much they respect their tradition? What could an uncivilized and villainous campaign and anti-Serb hysteria, led by the so-called Pristina authorities, produce except hatred and attempts to destroy everything Serbian?" Vucevic asked.
Vucevic adds that this was one in a series of ethnically motivated brutal attacks on Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
"This is another proof of how threatened their security is. And no one can hide anymore that Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija are exposed to violence every day. And let Kurti and his helpers and sponsors ask themselves if all the evil they do will come back to them; constantly terrorizing the Serbs, and inciting open hatred and chauvinism. I strongly condemn today's attack on Serbian young men, and I ask for the immediate arrest of the criminal who shot at them," Vucevic stated.
