Vucevic: I am dissatisfied with the reaction of the international community; Kurti wants conflict and war

Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic says he is very concerned about the fate of Serbs in Kosovo and that he is dissatisfied with the reaction of the international community following the closure of nine Serbian Post offices in the north.

"I am concerned about the fate of Serbs in Kosovo and very dissatisfied with the reaction of the international community. Every day, people are being arrested; a few days ago, five were arrested in Pomoravlje, in Pasjane. They have remembered now that these people allegedly committed crimes in 1999, targeting every family to arrest and detain at least one person from each family. And, God forbid, if anyone works in the state organs of the Republic of Serbia, in the police, army, or security information agency," Vucevic said.

He adds that these people are being persecuted without any basis and that it is a complete lawlessness.

"He has banned us from food, medicine, taken away our gas stations, part of our electricity system, attacked health centers, seized our Post, and before that, the Postal Savings Bank, does not allow salaries and pensions to be paid... So, what's next? Only schools and kindergartens are left, and then there will be order and peace in what they call Kosovo, and we call the Province of Kosovo and Metohija," he adds.

He emphasizes that there is complete lawlessness and terror against Serbs in Kosovo with a clear goal – to ethnically cleanse Kosovo of Serbs, leaving them in small enclaves like in reserves to maintain a bit of diversity on Kosovo's territory.

The Serbian Prime Minister states that he hopes someone from the international community will wake up and finally say: "People, you cannot do this."

"On the other hand, I want to clearly tell the citizens of Serbia. We can only react politically; everything else leads to war and conflict, and Kurti wants that, doing everything to cleanse Kosovo of Serbs and, of course, to provoke Serbia into a conflict against NATO. That is his goal, and he evidently has support, I won't say from the entire international community, but from parts of it, some representatives, to do what he is doing to the shame of all Europe. Where are all the agreements? The post office is part of the agreement. You have agreements from 2013 and 2015 from Brussels that the Albanians in Kosovo accepted, signed, and their parliament ratified, guaranteed by the EU. And now what? What will you deliver to Serbia when you comply with some new request of ours? This is that festival of rights for everyone except the Serbs. When it comes to the Serbs, there is no territorial integrity, inviolability of borders, human rights, or freedom, no agreements. Different rules apply to us. I hope we will have enough political wisdom to avoid conflicts and confrontations," Vucevic said.
