The Minister of Defense and Vice President of the Serbian Government, Milos Vucevic, stated on TV Pink that the Kosovo Police had stopped the vehicle in which Danilo Vucic, the son of the Serbian President, had been traveling, with the intention to harass and humiliate him, but that Danilo Vucic had not disgraced himself, his family, or the nation.

"Several things can be concluded from this incident, namely that Serbs have no rights in Kosovo and Metohija and that they can never be a state. This is not how you treat the family of a high-ranking statesman. They knew who was in the car, they saw it at the administrative checkpoint where ID cards are presented, and they stopped him with the intention to harass him. It is good that Danilo went to Gracanica to be with his people as the President's son. As far as I know, this is not the first time Danilo has been in Kosovo and Metohija. He refused to take off his shirt, even though automatic weapons were pointed at him. He remained composed, obviously brave. It's in his genes," Vucevic said.

He emphasized that such actions should not be taken and that Kosovo does not possess the attributes of a proper state.

"Imagine if we were to stop all the relatives of those officials from Kosovo when they go to Switzerland or Austria. They don't have the attributes of a state, they don't know how to behave like a state. Everything they do is as if they were a terrorist formation, except now they no longer come out of the woods but from buildings. Their narrative is terrorist. This was not a routine check but an attempt to humiliate him. The sentence that stuck with me the most (from Danilo) was when he said that his dad is their president. Down there is truly hell; they literally prohibit every activity of Serbs related to significant dates, nurturing culture and identity. They have usurped all their rights, from political to basic human rights," Vucevic pointed out.

He added that he has always been fascinated by the fact that a significant number of non-governmental organizations in central Serbia remain completely silent when it comes to Serbs in Kosovo.

"For them, it's a black hole on the map. I wouldn't want Rada Trajkovic to defend me; she has made so many disgraceful statements that it's too much for the next hundred years. I cannot understand those people who refuse to embrace who they are biologically. Danilo did not disgrace himself, his family, or the nation," Vucevic concluded.

As a reminder, Danilo Vucic attended the Vidovdan commemoration in Gracanica wearing a T-shirt with the inscription "Surrender is not an option." The Kosovo police stopped the vehicle he was in and asked him to take off the T-shirt, which Kosovo's Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Svecla, described as "provocative for all citizens of Kosovo."

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that his son had refused to take off the T-shirt, and then the police had pointed guns at him and asked, "Father's name?" to which Danilo had replied, "Aleksandar! That's my father and your president."
