Minister of Defense of Serbia, Milos Vucevic, pointed out that Serbia was ready to discuss the concept of the agreement in the dialogue, but that it would not cross its red lines, RTV reports.

Vucevic stated that the communication between the mediators of Belgrade and Pristina was constant and he assessed that a process was taking place that was not pleasant but was part of the work for the state.

"Serbia remains committed to the dialogue process; it is important that we are at the negotiating table and not 'on the table' and that we do not pursue a policy that would assign us the role of a disruptive factor," he said.

Vucevic emphasized that Serbia stuck to its red lines.

"Direct or indirect recognition of the independence of Kosovo and Metohija is out of the question, as is Kosovo and Metohija in the UN, and the rest can be discussed," he said and added that the condition for further implementation of the items from the agreement was the formation of the CSM in accordance with the principles of 2015, which is guaranteed by the Brussels Agreement and by the EU.

He assessed that exiting the dialogue process would be disastrous for Serbia, because an agreement with the Albanians was in the national interest, and on the other hand, the integrity of the state had to be preserved.

Speaking about constant incidents and communication with KFOR, he says that communication is good, as well as that KFOR condemns attacks on citizens, but they count them as isolated incidents.

"The responsibility of KFOR is the safety of all the citizens of Kosovo and Metohija, and our responsibility is to preserve the Serbian community in Kosovo and Metohija as long as the Serbs live there, as long as there are our churches and institutions until then Serbia exists in Kosovo and Metohija," he said. The People's Movement for the State would be big enough to receive all those interested and should bring together all well-intentioned people who wanted to preserve Serbia in these circumstances, Vucevic said.

On the coming weekend, the promotion of the People's Movement for the State was announced, and when asked if this was an indication that new elections would be called, Vucevic answered that local elections were certainly expected, but that the People's Movement was the beginning of something that would continue to spread, regardless to the elections.

"The movement will also have a state-building character, to show that Serbia is free and sovereign and will lead a wise policy that shows that Serbia can withstand all difficulties and pressures with minimal consequences," Vucevic said for Tanjug.

Vucevic spoke about the new competition for special units and assessed that these were the most elite units with the best equipment and demanding training, but with the highest incomes because the starting salary was 220,000 Serbian dinars, which meant they would be paid more than pilots whose education lasted longer.
