Vucic on the agreement between Elektrosever and KEDS: Such agreements do not prejudge the issue of property
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated that he was pleased that KEDS and Elektrosever had signed an agreement, as it avoided the possibility of people in northern Kosovo being left without electricity.
Vucic stated that securing electricity for the Serbs in northern Kosovo was an important issue for Serbia, and the agreement did not prejudge the issue of property.
"We are still looking at the details, and the signing of the agreement with the population is imminent. As you know, only 11 percent of people in the north were paying for electricity. We are satisfied that KEDS and Elektrosever have reached an agreement, thus avoiding any possibility that the people in northern Kosovo will be without electricity. Ultimately, this is the most important thing for us. Another important issue for us was the issue of property. We wanted to ensure that such agreements do not prejudge the issue of property, and I believe that these are things we have managed to accomplish", Vucic said from Nis.
Vucic added that the EU would always find a reason to accuse the Serbs of something, even though they were not allowed to vote in Kosovo.
He said that he had not received any comments from the international community regarding the ban on Serbs voting in Kosovo.
"As I said before, they will always find some reason to blame the Serbs for something", Vucic said, adding that Serbia must find ways to push the country forward.
Asked to comment on Fatmir Limaj's statement about the seventh point of the Ohrid Agreement, in which, as Limaj said, the Kosovo Government gave Serbia the opportunity to become a shareholder of Kosovo, Vucic said he did not want to deal with statements of that kind.
"I do not comment on Fatmir Limaj, it makes no sense, nor will I do it, I am not interested in their internal quarrels and who will be the bigger caliph", Vucic said.
