The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, expressed today, after a meeting with the EU Special Envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, that he is very concerned about the situation in Kosovo, especially in northern Kosovo.

Vucic stated that he had informed the EU Special Envoy about it.

"Albin Kurti wants to provoke conflicts, and the passion with which he wants to incite a conflict in order to become an Albanian national hero is unbelievable. The latest action he took with the expropriation was even contrary to their own regulations. I simply have no words for everything they are doing. I told Lajcak that I am concerned about their desire to forcefully take over premises, and I am particularly concerned about the Quint for showing a lack of proficiency because sometimes even a three percent turnout in elections is enough for them to consider them legitimate, while sometimes even 50 percent is not enough," Vucic said.

Vucic also spoke about the upcoming Council of Europe Summit in Reykjavik, Iceland, where heads of state of Council of Europe member countries are expected to attend, and he added that he would not be attending the event.

"You know that we submitted an amendment in which we requested that, between two commas, when discussing the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Georgia, it should be written the same way as for all other Council of Europe member states. So that we don't directly mention the Republic of Serbia, to make it easier for them. However, we realized, especially at the insistence of Germany, that territorial integrity exists for those countries whose integrity they recognize, not the United Nations," Vucic added.

Vucic stated that the desire of certain countries is to protect territorial integrity where it suits them, and where it doesn't suit them, it is even worse for the territorial integrity of that country.

"When the UN charters align with their desires, then it's fine, but if it doesn't align, then it's worse for the charters and resolutions. I wouldn't bother you any further with what you already know about their 'principles.' I made a decision in accordance with an agreement with Ana Brnabic and Ivica Dacic that the Republic of Serbia would be represented at the lowest level. I will not go to Reykjavik, and Serbia will not vote for their declaration; we will abstain. We cannot prevent its adoption by doing that, but they will have to acknowledge that it was not adopted unanimously," Vucic said.

The President of Serbia added that he is prepared to endure all the consequences of that decision.

Vucic emphasized that Kurti does not want to form the CSM and that he is "planning an incursion into Zvecan as early as tomorrow, claiming that his mayor there gained power through elections."

He reiterated that Lajcak had been informed about all of this and that the Special Envoy was very concerned about the entire situation.

"He is very, very concerned; he has seen the kind of terror the Serbian people in Kosovo are experiencing. Representatives of the Serb List and representatives of our people in Kosovo informed Lajcak about the entire situation in Kosovo," Vucic said.

Vucic once again expressed concern about the international community's lack of reaction to the political actions of Pristina, but he emphasized that it would not intimidate Serbia.

Vucic: Citizens who surrender their weapons will not face consequences

After the meeting with Lajcak, before speaking about the topic of Kosovo, Vucic mentioned that 9,401 pieces of armament and 4,000 of ammunition had been collected in the weapons collection campaign.

He stated that these were the results as of 9 a.m. this morning since the campaign had begun due to the tragic events that had affected Serbia in the previous week.

The President told the citizens to continue voluntarily surrendering weapons and that they would not face any consequences for possessing them.

"Prime Minister Ana Brnabic held a meeting with the President of the Parents' Council of the 'Vladislav Ribnikar' school, after which the decision was made to adopt all seven requests of the parents from that school," Vucic stated.
