Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with the European Union Special Envoy for Sanctions Implementation, David O'Sullivan, today and emphasized that Serbia is committed to cooperation with the EU, however, when considering the imposition of sanctions, the Serbian leadership is guided by international law and the protection of its national interests.
On his Instagram profile "buducnostsrbijeav," Vucic stated that he had had an open conversation with O'Sullivan.
"I reiterated that Serbia is dedicated to cooperation with the EU in the areas of foreign, security, and defense policies while respecting the obligations arising from the Stabilization and Association Agreement and the Negotiating Framework, but also that, when considering any decision regarding the potential imposition of measures against any country, we are guided solely by international law and the protection of our national, state, political, and economic interests," Vucic conveyed.
