The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated today that it is completely clear that Albin Kurti is acting without any agreement with international partners and that it is important that both the US and the EU reacted and condemned such actions.

Vucic conveyed to reporters in Prague that he had discussed Kosovo with Miroslav Lajcak, as well as with everyone else he had met.

"It is important that the Europeans and Americans condemned Kurti's behavior and that KFOR firmly maintains its position regarding the bridge on the Ibar River," the President of Serbia said.

As he emphasized, he does not fully understand what the ultimate goal of the Albanian leadership in Pristina is, except for the desire to provoke Serbia.

"What is the purpose, to occupy a room, a building, and then what? To occupy it for a month. And then what?" the Serbian President asked.

He pointed out that it is completely clear that Kosovo is acting without agreement with the partners who "gave birth" to it and created it.

"And everything they do, they do to destabilize the region. I don't see that as a wise policy. We will behave responsibly," Vucic added.

He expressed confidence that representatives of the Serb List will convey their concerns in talks with the Quint.

"We will work with our people, and they will receive their salaries regardless," Vucic stated firmly.

He also noted that if there is any small silver lining in all this negativity, it is the fact that the world is slowly but surely beginning to understand who is truly, fundamentally causing the problems.

Vucic conveyed that he had held an open discussion with Lajcak, as well as with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and with Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

"We had good talks, and it is important that we all believe China has an extremely significant, decisive role in establishing peace in the world. In line with this, we will exchange views, hopes, and expectations, and we will appeal to China to get involved in resolving peace issues as soon as possible," Vucic said.

He also announced that Czech President Petr Pavel will soon visit Serbia.

"We have renewed old contacts and made some new ones, and I hope that we will see progress for Serbia on the European path before the end of the year. However, I am really not in a position to promise that we will be part of the EU by 2028 because that would be irresponsible on my part. I don't like to tell lies to my people for the sake of political points. If it happens, I will be the happiest person in the world and admit I was wrong, but I fear that I haven't been wrong in my other assessments regarding the situation on the battlefield," Vucic said.
