Vucic: Kurti boasted in his statement about something that was not even discussed in the meeting with Macron
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that he had received information about the meeting that French President Emmanuel Macron held yesterday with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, noting that Kurti boasted in his statement about something that was not present at all in those talks.
Vucic told reporters that he had received information about the meeting from President Macron’s office.
“I am glad that Kurti is satisfied, but whether someone will limit the use of Serbian weapons… Only I, as President of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, can limit the use of Serbian weapons. We want peace, and that is why we will not use them. And whether any weapons will be used here or elsewhere, only I and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces make that decision,” the Serbian President explained.
He said that Kurti had boasted in his statement about something that was not even part of the meeting.
“Kurti boasted about something in his statement, but that was not discussed in the talks. But I will not recount conversations that I did not attend,” Vucic added.
Regarding the statement by Croatian President Zoran Milanovic that he forgets that Serbia has a military agreement with Croatia from 2010, Vucic said that it is neither the same nor similar to the one Zagreb has with Tirana and Pristina.
“That is not a military alliance like the one with Pristina and Tirana,” Vucic said.
