Vucic to Kurti: Don't even dream of expelling Serbs, we'll know what to do

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated today that Serbia would know what to do if Kosovo's Prime Minister Albin Kurti dared to attempt to expel Serbs from Kosovo. Vucic also added that Kurti had made the decision to open a bridge that had long been a safety barrier for the Serbs, in order for Albanians to take over North Mitrovica.

"Occupation leader Albin Kurti has made the decision to open a bridge that has long been a safety barrier for the Serbs, in order for Albanians to take over Mitrovica. For many years, our people have opposed and asked why this man is doing this. The only thing he wants is to expel our people and wants conflicts," Vucic said, addressing citizens in Sokobanja.

Vucic emphasized that Kurti had made this decision to open the bridge just a few days after "shameful elections that were recently held."

"Why is this man doing this - because he will say 'We don't want ghettos, but open cities', which will easily pass with those from the West, but in fact, the only thing he wants is to expel Serbs from northern Kosovo, nothing more and nothing else. And they want conflicts at all costs," Vucic said.

He added that Serbia would do everything in its power to preserve peace.

"We will do everything in our power to preserve peace; we will do everything in our power so that no woman thinks about sending her child to war. Don't even dream that you will succeed in your intentions to expel or destroy Serbs; in that case, we'll know what to do," the President of Serbia said.

He added that "while he is the President and Commander-in-Chief, Serbia will not be in NATO or any military alliance."

"And that is our choice," Vucic emphasized, adding that he could not "ignore the choice of this nation and forget what happened to the people."
