President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who is on a working visit to Serbia, and expressed his gratitude for Italy’s principled support regarding Serbia’s European integration process.

“I thanked Prime Minister Meloni for Italy’s principled support, especially concerning European integration and Expo 2027, where we will showcase the strength of our friendship and shared vision. A confirmation of participation doesn’t just mean one country attending the exhibition—it signifies support, partnership, and trust,” Vucic stated on his Instagram account “buducnostsrbijeav.”

He emphasized that Serbia highly values its relationship with Italy, not only as a political partner but also as a true friend who understands Serbia’s values, traditions, and aspirations.

“Serbia and Italy stand shoulder to shoulder on the path of development and regional stability,” Vucic added.

Vucic welcomed Meloni with full state honors at the “Nikola Tesla” airport and stated that her visit sends a message of trust and a shared vision for the future of a united Europe.

“I thank Prime Minister Meloni for coming to Belgrade, thereby once again sending a strong message of support for Serbia,” he said.

Wishing Meloni a warm welcome to Serbia, Vucic also expressed hope that Serbia and Italy will continue to be united through friendship, cooperation, and joint efforts toward the stability and prosperity of both nations.
