Vucic: Serbia will work on implementing everything it said; recognizing Kosovo is out of the question
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic says that his position has not changed and that he repeated in Ohrid what he said in the Parliament and in Brussels, Novosti reports. As he emphasizes, Serbia has never used any tricks and will work on implementing everything it said.
Vucic says that something will be legally binding for Serbia only when it is signed and that no one else can produce a legal consequence for Serbia except its president.
"Serbia has never used any tricks, unlike everyone else. What I said in the Parliament, in Brussels, Ohrid, and Belgrade, I repeat every day, and my position has not changed even one iota. When I put my signature or stamp on something, or when I verbally or orally agree to it, it becomes legally binding for Serbia. No one else can produce a legal consequence for the Republic of Serbia except for its president and, in some cases, the prime minister or the minister of foreign affairs," Vucic points out.
He adds that Serbia will fulfill and work on implementing everything it said, despite the fact that he does not think that Pristina will fulfill what is its only obligation, which is to form the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.
"Everything we said we would work on implementing, we will do. Membership in the UN and recognition are out of the question, but Serbia is ready to fulfill the rest regarding the normalization of relations. Serbia has its own word, and that means something. Of course, it is not easy for me to put up with the most irresponsible and incompetent people in our country, who have destroyed our country, but I will leave that for another time. They will get the right political answer," President Vucic emphasized.
