Vucic with Wadephul on Serbia-Germany relations and Kosovo

President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met with Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Johann Wadephul during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, with whom he discussed Kosovo and the need to preserve peace.

Vucic wrote on Instagram that he and Wadephul discussed relations between the two countries, Serbia’s European path and issues of key importance to regional stability.

“Serbia wants to continue developing relations with Germany, as one of our most important European partners, through even stronger political, economic and regional cooperation. We also discussed the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the need to preserve peace and stability, both in our region and on the European continent, as well as the important role of the United Nations in maintaining international peace and security and upholding international law,” Vucic said.

He added that Serbia remained committed to its European path and would continue to work responsibly with its European and international partners in the interests of Serbia and its citizens.
