Vucic: We will be under a lot of pressure in Brussels
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said tonight that the situation in which Belgrade found itself was not simple and that he would be exposed to great pressure in Brussels on February 27.
"All this is a show in which ultimately the pressure is on us. But it's not the first time, neither in history nor in the last 10, 11 years," Vucic told reporters at the Tourism Fair.
When asked to comment on the statement of the EU envoy for dialogue with Pristina, Miroslav Lajcak, that a list of unfulfilled requests from 2013 had been delivered to both Belgrade and Pristina, Vucic replied that the essence was always in the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities.
"He didn't tell me that, but I guess I'll receive something before Monday. They want to say that the issue of energy is not over yet, and there is also a problem with licenses for distribution rights. But they all know that the essence is the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities. Either you will proceed to solve the CSM issue, or we thank you. And that's it," Vucic said.
Vucic mentioned that tomorrow was a big day for Serbia because the new Continental factory was opening; whose exports would exceed one billion euros.
"That's good news for us, and as far as political pressure on Serbia is concerned, we have to keep the peace, be ready for compromises, and not to give Serbia to anyone," Vucic said.
