Young men detained in front of the monastery of the Holy Archangels in Prizren released

The six individuals detained today by the Kosovo Police in front of the Monastery of the Holy Archangels near Prizren have been released after misdemeanor charges were filed against them, Kosovo Online has learned. The individuals in question are young men from Montenegro.

The young men were detained by members of the Kosovo Police after attempting to unfurl a Serbian flag.
The incident occurred while the traditional folklore gathering titled “In Anticipation of Vidovdan” was being held within the Holy Archangels complex, an event that this year brought together around 1,000 participants and visitors.

According to information from the police, the individuals were detained after attempting to take photographs with the flag on an elevated area above the monastery complex.
