Grenell: Elections in Serbia important, record number of observers - without violence and destabilization

Former Envoy of the US President for the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, Richard Grenell, stated that today's elections in Serbia were very important for the citizens of Serbia and the entire region. He noted that there was a record number of observers present and emphasized that there should be no violence or destabilization from either side.

Grenell pointed out that a record number of international observers were monitoring the elections in Serbia, and he expected the democratic process to unfold peacefully.

"There is a record number of international observers for today's record turnout. The world is watching. There should be no violence or destabilization from either side. Let the democratic process proceed peacefully", Grenell emphasized on the social media platform "X".

He stated that Serbia had made "dramatic progress" in cooperation with Western powers.

"Today's Serbian elections are very important for the citizens of Serbia and the entire region. The relationship between the US and Serbia is extremely important for America – we must continue on the current path to help Serbia move away from Russia towards the West. They have made dramatic progress in recent years, and while we still have work to do, China is becoming even more aggressive in the region", Grenell pointed out.
