Abdullahu: Booking vacations through a travel agency a better and more affordable option

Edon Abdullahu, founder and CEO of the Pristina-based travel agency Max Travel, says that most people in Kosovo still choose to book their summer vacations through travel agencies, noting that it is a safer and often more affordable option than organizing trips independently.

Abdullahu says that many people try to arrange their trips on their own, but that it often turns out to cost more than purchasing a package through a travel agency.

"I think most people still use travel agencies, although there are those who try to organize their trips themselves. However, in many cases it turns out to be more expensive than booking through a travel agency. In addition, travel agencies take responsibility for flights, hotels, excursions and all other travel-related matters. That is why I believe it is always much better to use the services of a travel agency than to book everything independently," Abdullahu told Kosovo Online.

As he explained, a travel package usually includes flight and accommodation bookings, but it can be tailored to meet each client's needs.

"Depending on the client's requirements, we can always arrange airport transfers to and from the hotel, local excursions, as well as other bookings, such as tickets for music concerts or football matches," he said.

Abdullahu stressed that traveling through a travel agency is not only safer, but in many cases also cheaper.

"In most cases, a travel agency can match the price you see on Booking.com, or even offer a lower one. In addition, when you book through a travel agency, you have the assurance that someone will look after your reservation and provide support if any problems arise. At the same time, you are also supporting the local economy," Abdullahu said.

Speaking about this year's summer season, he said he is satisfied with the results so far and expects demand to increase even further in the coming weeks.

"The season has not been bad. It hasn't been perfect, but we are now practically at its peak, and we expect a significant increase in demand over the next few days. Flights are mostly sold out, hotels in Antalya are almost fully booked, so it is becoming increasingly difficult for us to find suitable hotels and available rooms. Nevertheless, I believe the season will be successful," Abdullahu said.
