In the center of North Mitrovica, the Serbs are walking and socializing; there are only the police at the voting containers

Today, the citizens of North Mitrovica were delighted by a sunny, spring day and many of them went out into the streets and the gardens of cafes. Sunday is ideal for socializing, resting, and spending time with family and friends. No one thinks about the elections that are held in several containers in the wider area of the city, there is no one at those locations, except for the police who secure the metal containers.

The atmosphere among the residents is completely calm and relaxed to the extent that the Serbs can be, considering all the circumstances that have been happening in the north of Kosovo for months.

Nobody is interested in the elections organized by Pristina.

"Believe me; I haven't even thought about it since this morning, I went out with my family for a little walk. Now we're going to drink coffee with our friends and then go home for lunch," one of the passers-by told us.

At the same time, there is no one except the police near the voting containers at the exits from the city.

"Peaceful Sunday afternoon, we won't be upset about anything today. We continue our fight and we don't give up on the future in our city," one girl said as she hurried to the center to meet her friends.
