Father Benedikt: We will restore the Djokovic mural in Orahovac

Father Benedikt from the "Amici di Decani" Organization, which is responsible for painting the mural of Novak Djokovic in Orahovac, told Kosovo Online, on the occasion of the destruction of the mural again, that it would be restored.

After the first round of Roland Garros, Novak Djokovic wrote on the camera "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia", and a few hours later his mural in Orahovac was attacked by vandals.

"We want to underline that this is not a competition between those who paint and those who destroy the mural, but our association decided more than 15 years ago to give a voice to those who are in difficulties in Kosovo, and therefore, it goes without saying that we will restore the murals that are damaged. We have great admiration for Novak Djokovic, who had the courage to personally testify about his own beliefs. We hope that politicians will have the same sense of responsibility. Destroying the mural in Orahovac means attacking the security of the Serbian community," Father Benedikt said.
