The KFOR mission condemned the incident that had happened on Monday evening when Milan Jovanovic had been wounded in Zvecan and they expected that the institutions in Kosovo would conduct a detailed investigation into those events and bring those responsible to justice.
As stated in the KFOR statement, they continued to monitor the situation, and the Mission was fully focused on the daily implementation of its mandate - based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999 - to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for everyone in Kosovo.
"Progress in the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina is crucial for lasting security in Kosovo and regional stability. KFOR welcomes the recent EU-brokered agreements in this regard as well and encourages both sides to implement their obligations as soon as possible," the statement said.
