North Mitrovica citizens: Frequent provocations do not lead to calming the situation

The North Mitrovica citizens spent awake another night waiting for the withdrawal of members of the police units of the Kosovo Police who came to North Mitrovica from South Mitrovica last night.

The citizens point out that the more frequent provocations do not lead to calming down the situation, but to escalation and bigger conflicts.

"The situation in Kosovo has been catastrophic for 40 years since the first demonstrations. The famous scenarios of the Albanians have been overcome, their provocations are funny, but they can also be serious, causing incidents and creating chaos, but these provocations are a real disaster," one of the North Mitrovica citizens told us.

Another resident of North Mitrovica told Kosovo Online that the situation was serious but that he was not afraid.

"It affects people a lot, many of them are afraid. I'm not afraid, there's no need to be," he said.

As reported by the Kosovo Online reporter, police officers had been deployed since 10 am in the same places where they were last night and in the same number.
