Today, the Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, visited Dragisa Galjak at the Emergency Room of the Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade, who was shot by a member of the Kosovo Police on May 29th in Zvecan, and on this occasion, he conveyed that his heroic wounds are yet another indicator of the terror imposed by Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

Petkovic mentioned that President Aleksandar Vucic had also visited Dragisa Galjak early this morning, and he referred to Galjak as a Serbian hero who had been shot from behind with two bullets.

"Dragisa Galjak is doing well, he remains courageous, but he needs the additional assistance of our doctors in Belgrade. These heroic wounds suffered by Dragisa Galjak serve as another indicator of Kurti's terror. Galjak is one of our Serbs who peacefully and dignifiedly fights for freedom in Kosovo and Metohija," Petkovic said.

He added that while the Serbs had peacefully and dignifiedly defended their piece of land, preventing "Kosovo gauleiters and special forces" from deciding on the life and death of Serbs in Kosovo, a Kosovo police officer had shot Dragisa Galjak twice in the back. Petkovic noted that apart from President Vucic, no one else is speaking about Galjak today.

"This speaks volumes about the hypocrisy of many when it comes to Kosovo and Metohija. Yesterday, Kurti released a new list targeting our people, marking them as targets simply because they defend their thresholds, their municipalities, the places where they were born, and the places where their ancestors lived. By marking our people in Kosovo and Metohija as targets and by calling them terrorists, Kurti reveals his level of nervousness, and it is uncertain which direction he will take," he said.

Petkovic emphasizes that it is up to Belgrade to fight to preserve peace.

"We will do everything in our power to protect the lives of our people. However, what everyone should know, as President Vucic has said several times, is that Serbia will not allow the pogrom and expulsion of its people from Kosovo and Metohija," he stated.

Milika Asanin, Director of the University Clinical Center of Serbia, stated that Dragisa Galjak had been transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at the Emergency Room in Belgrade after 6:00 PM yesterday from the Hospital Center in Kosovska Mitrovica.

He reminded that on May 29th, Galjak had sustained serious injuries in Zvecan after being shot in the lower back and hand.

"He underwent emergency surgery in Kosovska Mitrovica, and his life was saved. He has been transferred here for further treatment, which will primarily focus on orthopedic care," Asanin said.

He expressed great satisfaction that both Petkovic and President Vucic had visited Galjak.

According to Asanin, President Vucic had a brief conversation with Dragisa Galjak, ensuring he was in good condition, and in addition, the president also visited three other individuals who are still in the Emergency Room after being wounded in the vicinity of Mladenovac and Smederevo.

"They are in much better condition, which pleased the president greatly, and he had a conversation with them as well," Dr. Asanin said.
