The Serbian tricolor flag is once again flying over the Zvecan Fortress

The Serbian flag is flying once again over the medieval fortress in Zvecan after unknown individuals removed it overnight.

The flagpole with the Serbian tricolor flag was taken down during the night. The flag was reinstalled in the afternoon, in the same spot where it had been for all previous years.

This was another in a series of removals of Serbian symbols from northern Kosovo in recent weeks. Recently, the Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Svecla, and the Minister of Local Self-Government Elbert Krasniqi removed two billboards in the north, one displaying the Serbian flag and the other featuring honorary citizens of Zvecan.
