Student Prorector Jovana Smigic told Kosovo Online that representatives of the international community were invited to yesterday’s panel discussion marking International Children’s Day, but they did not respond to the invitation. She stated this had demonstrated their stance of supporting the side causing the problems.

"Our goal was to highlight the psychological and physical torment that children in Kosovo and Metohija endure, which is why we invited international representatives to attend the panel and bring attention to the issues and difficulties, as well as the dozens of cases that have occurred over the past several years," Smigic said.

The fact that they did not attend this panel, she emphasized, speaks to their stance and willingness to assist the Serbian people.

"Our aim was not to deepen any political topics but solely to address children’s rights in Kosovo and Metohija. I think their absence clearly shows their stance, which is that they, in a way, support the other side, the one causing these problems," Smigic concluded.
