Zoran Janackovic: I thank the Serb List and the State of Serbia for providing us with temporary accommodation
Zoran Janackovic, who was evicted today from his apartment in North Mitrovica along with his family by the Property Comparison and Verification Agency, emphasized that the Serbian List, with the support of the State of Serbia, provided temporary accommodation for him and his family members. He expressed his gratitude but also stated that they would continue the legal battle for their home.
Janackovic expressed hope that the Serbian List, with the help of the Serbian state, would continue supporting the survival of the Serbian people in these areas.
“I am very grateful to the representatives of the Serbian List who made sure we have a temporary roof over our heads. They ensured, with the support of the Republic of Serbia, that we still have a place to live. We will not give up the legal fight for our apartment, because it is ours. I hope they will continue helping us to remain here, in our homes and on our land,” said Janackovic.
In the morning hours, the Janackovic family was evicted from their home by the Property Comparison Agency with the assistance of the Kosovo Police. After more than 20 years, according to family members, they received a decision—without any prior notice—that their apartment was being taken away and assigned to a certain Jonuzi, whom the family claims never worked at Trepca.
