The Football Association of Kosovo and Metohija has received a notice from the Kosovo Police stating that the organization of matches that are not under the patronage of sports associations from Pristina is prohibited, the first man of the Football Association of Kosovo and Metohija, Igor Uljarevic, confirmed for Kosovo Online.

Uljarevic found that some clubs from the south were verbally informed the day before yesterday and that a written notification was also received yesterday, that if any match, or even training sessions, were organized, the police would arrest those "responsible" together with the prosecution.

"An incident occurred when the junior category handball players played a friendly match with the Mokra Gora team from Zubin Potok. Immediately the day after that, the police came to the man who restricted that match and threatened to arrest him if he did something like that again, even if he continued to train children. I don't know how they can ban children from playing sports; that should be separated from politics. This is the biggest form of discrimination. Honestly, we will continue to follow the agreement with the Football Association. We have postponed the league this weekend until we figure out what we are going to do and how we are going to do it. As for the younger categories, they continue to train, at least for now," Uljarevic said.
