The member of the KSF who shot Serbian children was ordered house arrest; Kurtaj pleaded not guilty
The Basic Court in Urosevac decided today to replace the measure of custody of KSF member Azem Kurtaj, who shot a Serbian boy and a young man on Christmas Day, with house arrest.
Kurtaj pleaded not guilty in court.
Prosecutor Fatos Ajvazi read the indictment against the KSF member, stating that in this case, he had committed the criminal offense of "causing general danger".
According to the indictment, the defendant deliberately, with the use of weapons, had caused great danger to the lives and bodies of people, by driving a car from the direction of Brezovice, he had reached the village of Gotovusa when he had come across a group of citizens who had been obstructing and preventing free movement of vehicles.
"First, he honked them to clear the way, and then through the window of his vehicle, he shot once into the air with a revolver, and the second time into the ground, when the projectile hit the asphalt, and part of the projectile hit the injured S.S. in the upper part of the arm, while the other part of the projectile hit of the second victim M.S. in the left hand. The Injuries based on the opinions and findings of experts are classified as light physical injuries with temporary health consequences," the prosecutor Ajvazi said, among other things.
Let us remind you that a Serbian boy and a young man were wounded in Gotovusa when they were returning home from cutting the Serbian Christmas trees. Azem Kurtaj shot at them from the vehicle. One was wounded in the hand while the other suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
Kurtaj fled the scene and was later arrested.
