The candidate for prime minister from the ranks of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, announced that the new US President Donald Trump's special envoy for missions, Richard Grenell, confirmed to him that he will continue to deal with Western Balkan issues and the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and that he emphasized that it will not be good for Kosovo if Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti remains in power.

Haradinaj says that Grenell emphasized that Kosovo cannot expect any support from the US unless changes occur on February 9, Reporteri reports.

"He was clear that if this situation remains and this government with Prime Minister Albin Kurti remains, it is bad news for Kosovo, that Kosovo cannot expect any results, any support from the US, on the contrary, it will be even worse than it is today," said Haradinaj.

Haradinaj said that Grenell confirmed to him that he will have responsibility for the Balkans and the negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia.

"I asked him to help Kosovo in the upcoming processes since we are blocked," Haradinaj stressed.
