Croatian Minister of Defense Ivan Anusic stated today in Pristina, following the signing of the Declaration on the Military Alliance between Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo, that the cooperation will primarily focus on the intelligence system and the development of the defense industry.

“Due to the geopolitical situation unfolding in Southeastern Europe and the various risks and threats, primarily referring to Ukraine and our not-so-distant past, we have decided to establish joint cooperation between our countries. This will primarily involve the intelligence system, as well as the development of the defense industry, the transfer of knowledge and experiences we have gained as Croatia in our 35 years of independence, and our membership in NATO and the EU,” Anusic stated.

As previously reported by Vecernji List, Koha writes, the Croatian minister emphasized that the goal of this alliance is to strengthen regional stability and improve interoperability between the armed forces of Croatia, Albania, and Kosovo.

“The three countries will be prepared to face future security challenges in Southeastern Europe, and there is a possibility that this trilateral military alliance could expand in the future with Bulgaria,” the Croatian minister said.
