Basha: “Infrakos” is taking control of four stations; Rizvanolli: We are committed to establishing order across the entire territory

Kosovo’s caretaker Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Dimal Basha, stated today that control over the railway station in Zvecan, as well as three other stations in the territory of Leposavic, will be taken over by “Infrakos,” Kosovo’s railway company.

“I am here together with Ministers Svecla and Rizvanolli, as well as the director of ‘Infrakos,’ Mr. Bujar. Serbia’s parallel structures continued to operate here, while in the meantime we established our institutions. Control over the railway station in Zvecan, as well as three other stations, will be taken over by ‘Infrakos,’” Basha told the media in Zvecan.

He stated that the Kosovo Government is committed to rehabilitating the railway line, which, he emphasized, will serve all citizens of Kosovo, including the residents of Zvecan and Leposavic.

“That is why we are interested in Kosovo’s institutions having the freest possible access and in being able to implement the railway infrastructure rehabilitation project as soon as possible, as well as establish law and order,” Basha said.

He added that he was grateful to the director of “Infrakos,” the caretaker ministers of economy and internal affairs, Artane Rizvanolli and Xhelal Svecla, as well as law enforcement agencies, for their cooperation and support in, as he stated, ensuring quick and unhindered access to the institutions.

Minister Artane Rizvanolli, who together with Basha and Svecla was at the station in Zvecan this morning, where the station building was taken over with police assistance, stated that public companies in Kosovo are increasingly expanding their services and taking control over property in all municipalities, including municipalities in northern Kosovo.

“Today, ‘Infrakos’ joined the list of public companies that have taken control of railway stations. So far, Kosovo Post has opened more than ten branches in the northern municipalities, while Kosovo Telecom has expanded the 5G network,” Rizvanolli said.

She stated that the company “Ibar-Lepenac” manages Lake Gazivode and the hydroelectric power plant, while the “parallel water supply system” has been shut down.

“In the north, the Mitrovica Regional Water Company is now operating, which is licensed, under institutional control, and provides safe water that is tested daily,” Rizvanolli said.

She added that Kosovo institutions are committed to establishing law and order throughout the entire territory of Kosovo, as well as ensuring quality and regulated services for all citizens.

“We are committed to ensuring that all citizens have access to quality, licensed, and regulated services provided by Kosovo institutions,” Rizvanolli stated.
