Demo Berisha, the President of the Albanian National Council in Serbia, stated that the content of the resolution passed by the European Parliament on the events in Kosovo showed direct pressure on Belgrade to change its approach in negotiations with Pristina in order to achieve the ultimate goal of forming the Community of Serb Municipalities, as reported by Euronews.

"We can see this from the statement of the President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Konjufca, who says that talks and negotiations have stalled and it makes no sense to continue until a binding situation is imposed on Belgrade to resolve the issue of Banjska," Berisha said for Tanjug.

He believes that the conflict in the village of Banjska currently poses a problem for Belgrade but notes that it cannot be said that Serbia is doing nothing because legal proceedings have commenced against Milan Radoicic, who admitted to organizing the action in Banjska.

When asked about the demands that the "big five" will present to Belgrade and Pristina, Berisha mentioned that from Pristina, they were demanding elections that must be organized in the way required by the EU, not as proposed by the regulation of the Kosovo Government led by Albin Kurti, as well as the swift start of work on the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities.

"They surely won't do that because we've seen that Vjosa Osmani has taken a different approach to the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities with the Americans, which indicates that they won't do anything unless the Americans provide instructions on how it will be concluded," he assessed.

As for the demands of the "big five" for Belgrade, Berisha stated that Belgrade was required to condemn the action in Banjska, which, he noted, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic had done immediately on that evening when he had expressed his condemnation of the action and offered condolences to the family of the deceased policeman.
