Deputy of the Democratic Party of Kosovo Hysen Berisha accused Kurti's government of straining relations with the Serbs in the north of Kosovo by dealing with non-essential matters and of ruining twenty years of work on the integration of the Serbian community in Kosovo, Koha reports.

"Since September 2021, the actions of this government have defunctionalized the control of the north by the state government. This government not only spoiled the relations with the Serbs in the north but also dealt with important issues such as license plates, which were then legalized by the agreement; then with 'Elektrosever', and the removal of the Serbs from institutions. This wrong policy made the CSM from an integral part of the agreement to become a political condition for progress," he said.

Berisha stated that the conflicts in the north were the least suitable for Kosovo, and he attributed those that had happened recently to the wrong policy of Kurti's government.

He assessed that the decision to open the bridge over the Ibar in North Mitrovica should not be seen as something special, because there were other alternative routes that were not a problem for moving from the southern to the northern part of Mitrovica.
