LDK Vice-President, Lutfi Haziri, said before the May 2 meeting in Brussels that Kurti had accepted the CSM with executive powers and that this was crossing red lines, as there was a risk of internal division of Kosovo, Reporteri reports.

"Albin Kurti accepted the CSM and, unfortunately, he left the framework of the 2013 agreement, and this is the crossing of red lines that risks Kosovo definitely heading towards internal division. Kurti accepted that CSM has executive powers and this is just buying time on his part and deceiving the people of Kosovo," Haziri told FrontOnline.

He accused Kurti's government of failing to change the composition of the working group for drafting the CSM statute, in accordance with the changed circumstances.

"We need to see what was done by the working group that this government failed to put together and see why this team was hired. The composition is not important, but the government wants something different. He let this case go by trying to cover up the Ohrid Agreement, which is an amendment to the agreements from 2013 and 2015, for which half of the Government says that it does not have a CSM, and the other half says it does," Haziri added.
