Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic strongly condemned the unlawful detention today of two Serbs, Milos Dimitrijevic and Ranko Zdravkovic, in Gorazdevac near Pec.

According to Dacic, this act, carried out under false accusations of allegedly influencing voters and supporting the Serb List, represents nothing other than a continuation of the ongoing terror, intimidation, and blatant political persecution that the authorities in Pristina are conducting against the remaining Serbs in Kosovo.

"It is particularly unacceptable that such fabricated operations, which include raids on family homes and searches of private residences, are deliberately and strategically carried out on election day itself in order to instill fear and panic among the Serbian population and directly obstruct their right to freely express their political will. I remind the public that this is not an isolated incident, but part of a coordinated campaign that began with the brutal arrests of directors of Serbian healthcare and educational institutions, as well as political activists, in the days leading up to the elections," Dacic stated on Instagram.

Dacic called on the international community, KFOR, and EULEX to act in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 and, as he emphasized, to "end their passive observation and stop the arbitrariness and violence of the so-called Kosovo Police before the actions of Pristina lead to a complete breakdown of security and stability on the ground."
