The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, thanked the head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Michael Davenport, for the support of the Mission to protect the rights of the Serbs in Kosovo and expressed the expectation that the Mission would continue to work in a status-neutral manner in accordance with Resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council.
During the conversation, Dacic and Davenport expressed concern about the upcoming local elections in Kosovo, since the expected non-participation of Serbian voters in those elections called into question the legitimacy and legality of the elections themselves, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The mutual expectation of the formation of the Community of Serb-majority Municipalities as soon as possible was emphasized, which was highlighted as a priority in solving other open issues.
