Demaku: Abdixhiku and Osmani are weakening the LDK and acting in Kurti's interest
Political analyst Armend Demaku told Kosovo Online that Lumir Abdixhiku and Vjosa Osmani are acting as political satellites of the Self-Determination Movement within the LDK and that, through their actions, they are weakening the party and damaging it from within.
As he explains, Albin Kurti's goal is to create divisions within the LDK and, through Lumir Abdixhiku and Vjosa Osmani, turn the dissatisfaction of the party's members and supporters into votes for the Self-Determination Movement.
"If Lumir Abdixhiku remains at the head of the LDK, I believe that would be bad news for the party. However, even if he is not re-elected, there is a possibility that he could launch a new political initiative together with Vjosa Osmani. In my opinion, that would also be damaging to the LDK, although less so than if he were to remain at the head of the party," Demaku said.
Our interlocutor stressed that Lumir Abdixhiku serves Albin Kurti's political interests more than the interests of the party he leads.
"The LDK should reassess the current situation and stabilize its ranks as soon as possible. Just as, in my opinion, Vjosa Osmani caused significant political damage to the LDK in the past, Lumir Abdixhiku could inflict similar damage unless the situation is resolved wisely and in a timely manner. The LDK has many experienced, respected and proven political figures who can rebuild and strengthen the party. However, in my opinion, neither Lumir Abdixhiku nor Vjosa Osmani represents the solution for returning the LDK to the path of political success," he concluded.
