Djuric: Serbia targeted by coordinated propaganda campaign of Kurti’s regime, international community must assist in the investigation

"I call on the international community to assist in the investigation and to publish, without delay, any available information about the perpetrators of the attack," said Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Marko Djuric.

Djuric emphasized that Serbia is under attack from a coordinated propaganda campaign led by Kurti's regime, which, as he stated, has shamelessly exploited the attack on the canal as an excuse to undermine Serbia’s EU accession process, demand the deployment of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) in northern Kosovo, and intimidate the remaining Serbs there, despite a complete lack of evidence of Serbia’s involvement.

"The physical act of sabotage may have been against a water canal, but by this evening, it is clear from the actions and numerous speculations and lies launched by Kurti, Sveçla and his lieutenants that the real target is Serbia and its European future. I call on the international community to assist in the investigation and to promptly disclose all available information about the perpetrators of the attack," Djuric stated.

The Serbian Foreign Minister stressed that Kurti’s overt accusations, combined with aggressive actions on the ground—including arrests and intimidation by his police of the Serbian community already embroiled in conflict—raise serious and legitimate suspicions about the possible involvement of Kurti's regime in orchestrating the attack.

"Let us not forget Kurti's consistent pattern of provocation and destabilization: just days ago, deploying KSF members to the north of Kosovo and Metohija under the guise of a funeral, orchestrating relentless arrests of Serbs, dismantling the Brussels Agreement, rejecting meaningful dialogue, and now exploiting the canal attack for political gain. These calculated moves are not only part of his election campaign but also a deliberate effort to obstruct Serbia's path to the EU and undermine regional stability. Kurti’s lies will not succeed—peace and the European future of the region will prevail," Djuric concluded.
