Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric met today in Berlin, during the ministerial meeting of the Berlin Process, with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó. On this occasion, Djuric once again highlighted the gross violations of the human, political, and economic rights of Serbs in Kosovo.

Djuric expressed his appreciation for Hungary's understanding of the sensitivity that the issue of Kosovo holds for Serbia, according to the statement from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministers confirmed the excellent friendly relations between the two countries, which, according to their assessment, have reached the highest level of bilateral cooperation in modern history.

Djuric expressed his gratitude for the strong and continuous support Hungary provides to Serbia in its European integration process.

He emphasized that Serbia is committed to maintaining peace and stability in the region, which he stated is a necessary precondition for political and economic development.

Both parties agreed that economic cooperation between the two countries is developing very dynamically, with Djuric noting that last year, Serbia for the first time achieved a trade surplus with Hungary.

The Serbian foreign minister also highlighted the good cooperation in the areas of energy and infrastructure projects, expressing satisfaction with the completion of the reconstruction and modernization of the Belgrade-Novi Sad high-speed rail section, the first segment of the Belgrade-Budapest high-speed railway.
