Drecun: Pristina showed with the elections that there are no Serbs for them in northern Kosovo
The President of the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun, stated for RTS that Pristina showed with the elections held on Sunday that there are no Serbs for them in northern Kosovo and that they want to impose their interests on them at the expense of their survival.
Drecun stated that such elections were held in countries where military juntas were in power.
"Kurti's militaristic junta tried to hold elections in containers with the help of armed special forces. The Serbian people, united with Belgrade, have sent a message that they will not accept living in the false state of Kosovo and that they will defend their interests and survival with their state," Drecun says.
He notes that now, with these problems, it is necessary to continue the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue with the aim of normalizing relations.
"The pressure that the West exerted on Pristina to form the CSM, in three moves, shifted it to Belgrade - this is visa liberalization, where the Serbian people are discriminated against, the beginning of the procedure for admission to the Council of Europe, and this farce of elections," Drecun said.
He says there are "insurmountable" obstacles to the formation of the CSM.
"Albanians will now have an absolute majority in four municipalities in northern Kosovo, their mayors, and in two municipalities, a provisional councilor as well. The question is who the newly elected mayors will take their oath before and how they will make decisions," Drecun says.
Speaking about the new round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, which will be held on May 2nd, Drecun believes that we can expect "empty talk" from Pristina and Western intermediaries about the formation of the CSM and that nothing will be precisely agreed upon.
